With the primary use of this visual to be for Instagram, as a running story for their pre-launch campaign, it was necessary to scamp to the 12 panel grid. Each of these panels needed to have relevant imagery to reflect the part of their story to tell. With this in mind I began to block out the areas and started to compile stock imagery, personal photography such as textures and filters and I needed to find a sneaker to match the scamp...

...which of course, I couldn't. So I turned to 3D Studio Max and modeled one, adding basic brand colours and a space for branding. As the overall style was to be of a montage, suggesting a 'cut-out and stuck on' method, I began to build up the layers from the render of the sneaker, gradually adding detail, tone and colour balance.

Damon Webb, CD and founder of Public Inc, and his team then made final creative tweaks and once signed off, the image was sliced into individual 1080x1080 px images for upload to Instagram.
